I can't even tell you how this poem exactly matches how I feel right now. I am uncomfortable, but your poem helps settle me down.

Loved this! There's a whole lot of message in your three lines.
ReplyDeleteThe bound up energy of the coil is wonderfully felt in this poem.
ReplyDeletei like the last line. sometimes its so hard to stretch grasp/gasp attain.
ReplyDeleteIn response in particular to Sandy's comment above, maybe this poem helps settle the reader down because it focuses on the experience of a series of moments. As opposed to thoughts about them. Hm, after typing that I thought maybe it's that the poem just "goes for it." And maybe I should stop trying to analyze it and just enjoy it! :-D
ReplyDeleteRoswila, I think you are right. I love the singularity of the 2nd line: no alternate plan (including failure!). There are no other choices, no other options, just a single, complete, definitive outcome.
ReplyDeleteExcellent - the energy just flows!!
ReplyDeleteyeah, what they all sed...complete commitment is something tangible...
ReplyDeleteSometimes ...a little says a lot.
